Pelvic Pain Workshop
Nutrition and movement to help pelvic pain
Are you fed up with pelvic pain, but not sure what you can try to reduce it?
Whether it's period pain, or pain from conditions like endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS, fibroids or IBS, there are plenty of steps you can try yourself to manage the symptoms.
In this 90 minute workshop, Emma Belton, registered nutrition therapist and Bally Lidder, pelvic health physiotherapist, come together to share how both food and movement can help you manage pelvic pain.
This talk is for you if you:
Nutrition for pelvic pain
Emma Belton, registered nutritional therapist, will give you an overview of an anti-inflammatory diet than can be used to reduce inflammation and pelvic pain. Emma will cover:
- foods that can help reduce inflammation and pain
- foods that might be making the problem worse
- using herbal teas to reduce inflammation
- the link between stress and pain.
Emma specialises in women's health, particularly conditions like endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids and PCOS which can cause pelvic pain. Emma became a nutritional therapist because of her own experience of endometriosis and trying to find a way of managing the constant pelvic pain that came with it.
Stretch and release class for pelvic pain
We can hold a lot of anxiety and tension in the pelvis, which can present in many ways. Pelvic pain can feel overwhelming, and it often affects much more than just the physical body — it can impact how we move, breathe, rest, and even relate to others. Pain makes us tense up and is often associated with breath holding, abdominal bracing, tight muscles and short shallow breathing patterns.
One of the most powerful things we can do in our recovery is to gently reconnect with our body in a safe, supported way.
In our 30 minute Stretch and Release class we will calm the nervous system, reduce muscular tension, and support mobility in and around the pelvis. We’ll focus on slow, mindful movements, gentle stretching, and breathing techniques to help you feel more at ease in your body. This is not about pushing through pain or achieving perfect form — it’s about tuning in, letting go, and allowing space for healing.
Throughout the session, you will be guided through each movement and offer options so you can adapt everything to suit your needs. Please remember you are the expert of your body. If anything doesn’t feel right, it’s okay to skip, modify, or rest.
Please come in something comfortable to be able to move in, bring socks and a water bottle.
