Why you might need a supplement review

Pills placed in a question mark shape

I introduced this new service because of some of the struggles I see clients having with supplements - some of which I went through myself with my own endometriosis journey.

When you're trying to find ways of improving your symptoms yourself it's very easy to end up on a cocktail of supplements. You see something online that says it will help, your friend recommends one, you see another that looks good in a health food shop and before you know it you are taking a long list of supplements. And the problem is that sometimes you don't feel much better on them. But you're too worried to stop taking them in case they might just be helping and things might get worse if you stop them.

Does that sounds familiar? It's certainly what I did early on in my endometriosis journey. But supplements only work well when they are really tailored to you as an individual and what you need - and so the scattergun approach often doesn't work.

It's also important to get the right supplements. Sometimes people take cheap supplements that you can get in the supermarket, but they may not be at the right dose to make a difference to you and you can be wasting your money on them.

Even though supplements are natural, you still need to be careful with them and can end up taking too much of a particular nutrient if you take a lot of different ones. This is especially important if you take any medication as you need to be sure that the supplement isn't interacting with your medication and making it work less effectively.

Certain medications can deplete nutrient levels and so it's important to be aware of this so you can replace those nutrients.

If this sounds like something you need help with, the supplement review is for you.
