Banana on a dinner plate with knife and fork

Know what to do to support your health but don’t seem to be able to put it into practice?

With so much information out there these days most of us have probably got a good idea of the things we could do through diet or lifestyle habits to help manage conditions like endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS, PMS, or perimenopause symptoms.

But actually doing it and putting it into practice can be completely different.

We’ve all been there – you’re tired, you don’t have the headspace to think about or do anything than get through day to day. You’re in pain and can’t be standing in the kitchen cooking meals that take too long. Work and family life is busy and looking after yourself is low on the to do list. Or you just haven’t got the motivation to do something different right now.

This is so common – at times I’ve ticked all those boxes too. It can be really hard to both get started and keep going with something, especially if you don’t see results straight away.

But if you want to start to improve how you feel, here are my top tips.

  1. If getting started is the problem, then start small – just change one thing initially like making sure you are getting 6 to 8 glasses of fluid a day. It might not sound like much, but sometimes the small things make the biggest difference.

  2. Build things gradually over time – don’t go all in at once as this can start to feel overwhelming and means people end up stopping all together.

  3. If you relapse, don’t beat yourself up about it, life happens. Sometimes a change of routine like going away or getting ill is enough to throw all the habits you formed out the window. Again, this can be the point you give up, but just start slowly again and build back up.

  4. Don’t be too rigid about things – if you start setting rules about what you must and must not do this can be where it starts to go wrong. Give yourself a bit of flex to have a weekend off sometimes.

  5. Get an accountability buddy – sometimes telling someone you are starting to make changes make you more likely to do it. Especially it that person then checks in to see how you’re getting on. This is something my 1 to 1 clients tell me really helps as they know I’m going to ask how they’re getting on at their next session.

If you need help getting started and finding a plan that works for you, then book in for my one off hormone intensive session. Or if you need those regular check ins, accountability and help working things into your lifestyle, then book in for a free chat about getting a package of support.

You can do this!
